Privacy policy
Effective 23 September 2026. Meetglow is designed to keep workplace and personal display data under your control.
Data handled by the app
The macOS Bridge may read the calendar you explicitly select, a configured weather location, announcements and Home Assistant. It uses these inputs to produce a bounded display snapshot. Meeting titles can be replaced with “Private meeting” before the snapshot leaves the Mac.
Home Assistant access is read-only, and only the entities you select are displayed. With up to eight mapped entities, the Bridge asks Home Assistant for each of them by name. With more than eight, the Bridge reads Home Assistant’s state list once per refresh, keeps only the mapped entities and discards the rest without storing or forwarding it.
Where data goes
Display snapshots travel only between your approved Bridge and display over the local network using the authenticated Meetglow protocol. Provider credentials and calendar identifiers remain on the Mac. The optional self-hosted service receives bounded display configuration, not meetings, credentials or pairing secrets.
iCloud
If you choose iCloud synchronization, bounded display configuration is stored in your private CloudKit database. Calendar events, calendar identifiers, provider credentials and pairing secrets are excluded.
Analytics and tracking
Version 1.0 contains no third-party analytics, advertising SDK or cross-app tracking. Apple may provide aggregated App Store analytics and crash diagnostics according to your Apple device and account settings.
Retention and deletion
Local configuration and the last valid display snapshot remain on your devices until replaced or deleted. The app includes controls to delete local configuration, Keychain credentials and the private CloudKit display configuration associated with the app.
Your choices
Calendar, local-network, iCloud, WeatherKit and Home Assistant features are used only when configured or authorized. When Apple Weather data is shown, display clients retrieve the required Apple Weather mark from an Apple-provided HTTPS address and expose Apple’s legal attribution page; those destinations are not Loris analytics. Apple Weather current-condition data is removed from the local snapshot cache after at most 90 minutes. You can operate a standalone personal display without a Bridge or account.
