The OPNsense Monitor App for iPhone and Mac
Stop SSH-ing into your firewall just to check if it's healthy. Rampart gives you a native dashboard with real-time system status, traffic charts, firewall logs, WireGuard tunnels, and IDS/IPS alerts — no cloud relay required.
Why You Need an OPNsense Monitor App
OPNsense is one of the most powerful open-source firewalls available. But checking on it usually means opening a browser, logging in through the web UI, and navigating through multiple pages to find what you need.
Rampart changes that. It talks directly to the OPNsense REST API and puts the data you care about — CPU load, firewall logs, tunnel status, IDS alerts — in a fast, native app you can check from your phone in seconds.
No cloud intermediary. No port forwarding required. Use it over your local network or through a VPN — your credentials stay in the iOS Keychain, never leaving your device.
What Rampart Monitors
System Dashboard
CPU, memory, disk, uptime, firmware version, and gateway status — all on one screen, updated in real time.
Network Interfaces
Live traffic charts for every interface: WAN, LAN, VLANs, and VPN adapters. Throughput in and out, per second.
Firewall Logs
Filter by pass, block, or reject. Search by source IP, destination, port, or protocol to trace any connection.
WireGuard Tunnels
See which peers are active, when they last handshaked, and how much data has flowed through each tunnel.
IDS/IPS Alerts
Suricata alert feed with severity, signature, and source details so you can respond to threats immediately.
DHCP Leases
Searchable list of all active leases. Find any device on your network by hostname, IP, or MAC address.
How Rampart Connects to OPNsense
Rampart uses the official OPNsense REST API. You create an API key in your OPNsense web UI under System → Access → Users, then add it to Rampart. The app communicates directly with your firewall — no relay server, no third-party service.
Connect over your local network at home, or remotely via WireGuard or another VPN. Multi-instance support means you can monitor multiple OPNsense firewalls from a single app — great for managing a home lab and a remote office firewall.
Rampart is Coming Soon
